Swimarathon - Wednesday 8th - Sunday 12th October 2025
The 2025 Skipton Swimarathon will take place between Wednesday 8 October and Sunday 12 October.
The Lions Club of Guernsey in association with the Guernsey Round Table and sponser Skipton International is excited to bring back the Swimarathon, Guernsey’s biggest team swimming fundraiser! Gather your friends, family, or colleagues, take on the relay challenge, and help raise money for local charities and community projects.
The main beneficiary for this year's event is St John Guernsey LBG.
How it works:
- 4–6 swimmers take turns to swim as many lengths as possible in 50 minutes.
- All ages and abilities welcome—whether you’re a serious swimmer or just in it for fun!
- Collect sponsorships to support your team’s efforts.

Donkey Derby - 16/08/2025
Running this year at Saumarez Park on Saturday 16th August, this popular fundraiser promises a fantastic day out for all the family, featuring the specially trained racing donkeys from the UK!
Cheer on your favourite donkey and enjoy a lively afternoon of races, with plenty of chances to have a little flutter (all in good fun!).
What’s on?
🎪 Charity & Trader Stalls – Browse goodies from local charities and vendors,
including knitted items, sweets, chocolates, gifts, and more.
🍔 Food Village – A variety of tasty treats to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
🍻 Licensed Bar – Enjoy a refreshing drink while soaking up the atmosphere.

The Big Cheesy Quiz - 14/05/2025
Running this year at St Johns Church Hall, Les Amballes on Tuesday 14th May, this popular fundraiser for the Lions Club promises a fun-filled evening of trivia, friendly competition, and plenty of cheesy fun!
Test your general knowledge in teams of up to six, with a mix of challenging and light-hearted questions to keep everyone entertained.
In addition to the quiz, there will be a raffle with fantastic prizes, and light refreshments available.
Entry is £15 per person, with all proceeds supporting the Lions Club’s charitable work in the community.
Doors open at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start.
